The Spiritual Ego Is the Most Dangerous Grandiosity

Construct-Aware uses self-transparency itself. Each stage produces grandiosity from the best tools available at that stage. The pattern doesn't break — it upgrades.
The Live Wire
First wire (surface): The spiritual ego trap is a familiar concept in contemplative traditions — the teacher who uses humility as a power move, the meditator who makes their attainment a status marker. Nothing new here.
Second wire (structural): What's new is the EDT framing: this is not individual corruption but stage-typical behavior. Every Construct-Aware person runs this trap to some degree. It is the developmental signature of the stage, not a pathology within it. This means identifying the trap does not protect you from it — identifying it is how you do it. You are always one step behind your own meta-awareness. The correct response is not vigilance (which is another ego move) but some quality of lightness or humor about the whole enterprise. This is what self-deception jiu-jitsu is pointing at.
Third wire (uncomfortable): The vault itself is an instance. A comprehensive cross-domain knowledge architecture is a grand theory. The careful tagging, the epistemic rigor, the Layer A vs. Layer B distinctions — these are the Construct-Aware person building an elaborate scaffold around the very material that should dissolve the scaffold.
