You sit down to read. Your eyes move across the page. The letters are simple geometric forms — vertical lines, curves, dots, intersections. They are not just symbols of meaning. The Akan-Kemetic doctrine: the letters are geometric forms, your attention plugs energy into those forms, the forms respond by generating energy-fields, and the fields affect your consciousness. Reading is not passive intake of information. Reading is evocation — you are activating geometric forms through directed-attention, and the activated forms transmit cosmological-functional content back to you.1
The Reading-as-Evocation Doctrine extends the Three-Voke Architecture from ancestor-and-deity-targeted vocal practice into text-engagement practice. The doctrine has three premises that together build the cosmological-functional reading-account.

The Roman alphabet's letters are highly abstracted from any depicted reference. The Akan-Kemetic doctrine would say: reading Egyptian hieroglyphic text engages the evocation mechanism more strongly because the geometric forms carry richer cosmological-functional content. Reading English-alphabet text engages the evocation mechanism more weakly because the geometric forms have been abstracted away from cosmological-functional reference. You select a passage of Egyptian hieroglyphic text (or another script with explicit geometric-symbolic content — Sanskrit Devanagari, Hebrew, Chinese). You sit with the text. You let your attention move across the geometric forms without translating them. You attend to the forms themselves rather than to their phonetic or semantic content. You notice whether sustained attention to the visual-geometric forms produces felt-effects different from your usual semantic-reading. Over weeks, you develop the discernment between evocative-reading (attention-to-form) and semantic-reading (attention-to-meaning).
First failure: collapsing the doctrine into the claim that all reading is equally evocative regardless of script. The doctrine specifies that the geometric content of the script determines the strength of the evocation; alphabets with greater geometric-symbolic content evoke more strongly. Second failure: treating the doctrine as license for unstructured staring at letters without intentional attention. The mechanism requires directed attention; passive looking does not activate the evocation.

The Akan-Kemetic Reading-as-Evocation Doctrine operates with the same load-bearing-attention claim: the practitioner's attention directed at the geometric forms is the activation mechanism. The cross-domain convergence: both frames identify directed attention as the operational mechanism, and the contemporary cognitive psychology research has produced extensive empirical evidence for the principle at the experimental-cognitive level.
