W1:362-380 articulates the Okra-detachment mechanism using a specific physical metaphor: two magnets with like polarities placed near each other will repel. Engage in sustained disorder → make yourself repulsive to the Okra → the Okra leaves the head region → returns to Nyame like a drop of water dissolving back into the ocean.

What landed: this is the operational mechanism by which spiritual detachment happens. Not metaphorical — physically-modeled-on-magnetism. The Okra doesn't decide to leave for reasons. The Okra is repelled by accumulated disorder the way a north-pole-of-magnet is repelled by another north-pole. The detachment is automatic and physical-architectural.

The Live Wire

• First wire (obvious): Useful metaphor for explaining spiritual disengagement.
• Second wire (deeper): If the mechanism is operationally real (magnetic-polarity-equivalent rather than just metaphorical), then the practitioner has zero capacity to manipulate the deity into staying when sustained disorder has produced the repulsion. The detachment can't be reversed by willpower or by intention to do better. The only way to restore the connection is to restore the polarity — to align with order so the deity is no longer being repelled.
