The claim: three Indo-European cultures, separated by language and geography, each arrived at the same strange idea — that an embodied, mortal human can out-transcend the immortal gods. The Indic WarYogin climbs the gods through tapas and then recants them. The Iranian practitioner reunifies his split soul before death into a body of light the gods never needed to make. The Greek áristos passes beyond the gods (metátheos) because he partakes their values — force, radiance, beauty — yet endures the Cycle of Generation and the darkness they will never know. Three roads, one destination: the mortal, through struggle and the acceptance of death, reaches what the deathless cannot. Arrikhión dying-and-winning is the Greek limb's clearest image of it.
The essay's spine: this convergence is real and worth taking seriously as a piece of comparative thought — and it is also the exact place where the source's excluded Evolian frame tries to smuggle in its politics, because "the superior man transcends the herd and the gods" is one short step from "rule by the best." So the piece has to do two things at once: honor the genuine structural convergence (the embodied mortal out-transcending the immortals through struggle is a real, recurring Indo-European idea) and rigorously sever it from the hierarchy-of-souls, race-of-masters reading that the perennialist tradition keeps trying to bolt on.
