Foundational claim: Śukra is essence and purity — "translations of Shuchi include clean, pure, bright, white, resplendent, virtuous, pious, holy, purified, cleansed, hallowed, honest, upright, faithful, true, guileless, correct, accurate, innocent, living as a celibate for the sake of clarity of mind, and the sentiment of true love." Venus is the son of Bhrigu (the great Vedic Rishi who is "fit to support"), and is the Guru of the Daityas (the demonic forces) — not because he teaches evil but because those identified with the body alone (the literal definition of Daitya) need a teacher of worldly wisdom. Venus is the planet of Bhukti-then-Mukti — entertainment first, liberation last — because the Goddess gives both enjoyment AND spiritual freedom in that order: indulgence-followed-by-letting-go, not bypassing-into-renunciation.
