Haha Lung's "knights of darkness" take that fact and turn it into a training principle. You were comparing the table to the picture you already had.

The Hollow-Screen Failure (Diagnostic Signs)

The first failure is the empty kata. You can run the form perfectly and feel nothing on the other end of your strikes — no imagined weight, no adversary, just air. The movement is clean and the conditioning is zero. This is ballet wearing a black belt: the body looks trained and isn't, because the nervous system was never given an opponent to react against.21 If your forms feel like exercise rather than rehearsal, the screen is blank.
