The Dharmic Morphological Box

Take the sixteen qualities Nārada names when Vālmīki asks him who the most virtuous person alive is. Cross them with nine kinds of life situation. Cross that with three ways of using a mantra. Four hundred and thirty-two combinations, each given an address in an imagined Ayodhyā — "Living at Gratitude Palace, Relationship District, Shield Quarter."1

It is the corpus's most systematically constructed instrument, its best-sourced material, and — without saying so — a memory palace.

Three Dimensions, and 432 Cells

A morphological box is a standard generative technique: list the independent dimensions of a problem, enumerate the options on each, and generate combinations you would not have reached by intuition. The corpus applies it as "Mental Model #18."1

Dimension one: Rāma's sixteen divine qualities. Dimension two: nine life contexts. Dimension three: three mantra application modes.16 × 9 × 3 = 432.

The stated purpose is explicit about what it is doing: "Instead of intuitive bhakti, this creates systematic dharmic engineering."1

The Sixteen Qualities, With Their Sanskrit

The source is given as Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa 1.1.2–1.1.4 — Nārada's answer to Vālmīki's opening question. The corpus supplies Devanagari, transliteration and gloss for each.1

1. Guṇavān गुणवान् — principled, of excellent character · 2. Vīryavān वीर्यवान् — endowed with prowess and valour · 3. Dharmajña धर्मज्ञः — conscientious, well-versed in dharma · 4. Kṛtajña कृतज्ञः — grateful, "remembers even small help" · 5. Satyavākya सत्यवाक्यः — truthful in speech, free from falsehood · 6. Dṛḍhavrata धृढव्रतः — firm in vows, self-determined · 7. Cāritreṇa yukta चारित्रेण युक्तः — endowed with good conduct · 8. Sarvabhūteṣu hita सर्वभूतेषु हितः — benevolent to all beings · 9. Vidvān विद्वान् — knowledgeable in all matters · 10. Samartha समर्थः — competent, "able to do impossible things" · 11. Priyadarśana एकप्रियदर्शनः — delightful in appearance · 12. Ātmavān आत्मवान् — self-controlled, courageous · 13. Jitakrodha जितक्रोधः — conqueror of anger · 14. Dyutimān द्युतिमान् — endowed with divine splendour · 15. Anasūyaka अनसूयकः — free from envy · 16. Kasya bibhyati devāḥ कस्य बिभ्यति देवाः — "even gods fear when provoked."1

⚑⚑ And the corpus hedges the one thing that needed hedging, on the page, unprompted: *"Rāma possesses 12–14 kalās compared to Kṛṣṇa's full 16, but Nārada described 16 divine qualities… These sixteen qualities represent Rāma's character excellence, not his kalā count."*1

That distinction — sixteen qualities is not sixteen kalās — is the kind of conflation this material invites, and the corpus heads it off explicitly. ⚑ It is the best-sourced construct anywhere in the extension corpus.

Nine Contexts and Three Modes

The nine life contexts: relationship dynamics (family, friends, romantic) · work and career challenges · personal growth obstacles · decision-making moments · conflict and adversity · resource and abundance issues · health and physical challenges · creative and expression blocks · spiritual practice obstacles.1

The three mantra modes, all using [MANTRA WITHHELD]:

Protection Mode — the mantra "as shield/boundary." Guidance Mode"as inner compass/navigation." Transformation Mode"as alchemical agent."1

The three modes are the box's cleverest dimension because they are not about content at all — they specify what you want the practice to do: hold something off, tell you which way to go, or change something. Most devotional instruction leaves this implicit, and naming it turns one mantra into three tools.

The Dharmic Address, and What It Actually Is

Every combination gets a location in an imagined Ayodhyā. Kṛtajña × Relationship Dynamics × Protection Mode becomes "Living at Gratitude Palace, Relationship District, Shield Quarter."1

⚑⚑ This is a method of loci and the corpus never calls it one.

The three-part address maps exactly onto the three dimensions: the building is the quality, the district is the life context, the quarter is the mantra mode. ⚑ Which means a practitioner who can picture the city can navigate 432 combinations spatially rather than remembering a three-axis matrix — and spatial recall is dramatically better than list recall, which is the entire reason memory palaces exist.

The conceit also solves the box's real problem.A 432-cell matrix is unusable as a table. An address is usable because you do not hold the whole city in mind — you go to a district and find the building.

Analytical Case Study: Four Worked Addresses

Four of the 432 are worked, and each has five parts: the address, a response pattern, a practical application, a visualisation, and a quality reference quoted from the source.1

Kṛtajña × Relationship Dynamics × Protection. "Rāma's perfect gratitude consciousness protects you from ingratitude patterns in relationships." Application: "when people take you for granted, invoke Rāma's grateful nature while using the mantra as a shield against resentment." Quality reference: "one who is pleased with a single obligation and does not take cognizance of hundreds of offences."

Samartha × Work Challenges × Transformation. "Competence Temple, Career District, Alchemy Quarter." Reference: "able to do things that cannot be done by others."

Jitakrodha × Health Challenges × Guidance. "Anger-Conquest Hospital, Wellness District, Navigation Quarter." Application: "use illness or pain as a training ground for anger mastery."

Dyutimān × Creative Blocks × Transformation. "Divine Brilliance Studio." Reference: "endowed with that special glow which compels everyone to keep looking."1

The first is the strongest and shows what the box is for.Gratitude is not the obvious response to being taken for granted — resentment is — and the combination produces a counter-intuitive move that a practitioner would not have generated by asking "what should I do about ingratitude?"

⚑⚑ That is the morphological method working as designed: the box surfaces pairings intuition would skip. And the third is where it strainsJitakrodha × Health × Guidance yields "use illness as a training ground for anger mastery," which is a real practice for some conditions and a poor prescription for others, and the box has no way to tell which.

The Nārada Verification Method and the Vālmīki Integration Protocol

Two checks, and the first is the only external verification test in the entire corpus.1

The Nārada Verification Method"before using any combination, ask: would Nārada recognise this as authentic Rāma consciousness?"Authentic: the response pattern reflects how Rāma actually behaved in the Rāmāyaṇa.Inauthentic: modern interpretations that don't match Rāma's traditional character.

⚑⚑ That routes authenticity to the text rather than to the practitioner's feeling, and it is the corpus's answer to its own generative freedom.

The Vālmīki Integration Protocol — connect each address to a specific episode. The document supplies four: KṛtajñaRāma's gratitude to Kevaṭ the boatman; Jitakrodhahis patience with Bharata's anger; Samarthabuilding the bridge to Laṅkā; Sarvabhūteṣu hitahis kindness to creatures in the forest.1

The protocol is what makes the verification runnable."Would Nārada recognise this" is unanswerable in the abstract and answerable once an episode is named — and pairing every quality with an episode is homework the corpus has started and not finished, four of sixteen.

And the method has a paradox the document does not notice: the generator's stated purpose is to "generate Rāma consciousness not yet present," and the test is whether the result is already in the text. ⚑⚑ Which is coherent — invent freely, then check against the canon — and is exactly this build's own discipline, arrived at independently.

Three Mastery Tiers, and the Archaeology Pairing

The box is tiered rather than offered whole.1

Beginner — 27 combinations: three most-used qualities × nine contexts × one mode. Intermediate — 162: six core qualities × nine contexts × three modes. Advanced — 432: all sixteen.

Sensible sequencing, and the four-phase process around it is workable: traditional grounding → situation analysis → address generation → systematic implementation, which includes "test the generated response pattern in real situations" and "build a personal dharmic database of successful combinations."

⚑⚑ And the document contains the corpus's only explicit cross-reference, pairing this with its predecessor: *"Archaeological Method (Iteration 6): discover Rāma consciousness already embedded. Morphological Method (Iteration 7): generate Rāma consciousness not yet present."*1

Discovery and generation as complementary operations, each named with its iteration number so a reader can find both.It is the only time in sixteen documents the corpus does this.2

Implementation Workflow

Use the address, not the matrix.Building, district, quarter is a memory palace and it is why 432 cells are navigable at all. Pick the district first — the life context — because that is what you actually arrive with.

Name the episode before using the combination. The Nārada test is unanswerable without one.Four of sixteen qualities have an episode attached; finishing that list is the single most valuable piece of work available on this construct.

And report the yield, not the space. 432 is the number of cells; four are worked. A morphological box's real output is the handful of combinations that survive screening, and screening is the method's main labour rather than a formality.

Evidence, Tensions, Open Questions

Sources. The Dharmic Morphological Generator (Iteration 7), read in full 2026-08-15.1 personal-notesan authored application of a generative technique. [EXTENSION]

Bounded. The sixteen qualities with Devanagari, the nine contexts, the three modes, the four worked addresses, both verification methods and the three tiers are given as the document gives them. This build has not checked the Devanagari or the glosses against a Sanskrit edition of Vālmīki 1.1.2–4. [RENDERING — verify against Hindi]The kalā hedge is the document's own and is quoted, not supplied by this build.

This is the best-sourced construct in the extension corpus — a named text, a chapter-and-verse locator, Devanagari, and a hedge on the one point that invites conflation.3

432 is a structural total, not a yield. Four combinations are worked; the 27/162/432 tiers are asserted rather than built.A morphological box always generates cells that correspond to nothingPriyadarśana × Resource Issues × Protection is not obviously a thing — and screening for viable combinations is the technique's main work, which the document treats as already done.

Open question.Does a personal dharmic database exist? Phase four instructs building one from combinations that tested well in real situations. No such record appears in the sixteen documents, and it would be the only outcome data the construct could produce.

Author Tensions & Convergences

This document is the corpus at its most rigorous, and the contrast with its neighbours is the phase's standing finding in miniature.

Here: a named source, a verse locator, Devanagari, a volunteered hedge, an external verification test, and the only cross-document citation in the corpus.Elsewhere in the same folder: coined terms attributed to unnamed "traditional texts," a real clinical paper over-read, and a mantra filed under the wrong text's heading.3

⚑⚑ Which forecloses the reading that the corpus's author cannot cite properly. He can, and does, when he has a source in front of him.The failures cluster where he was writing from memory, and this document is the one where he was plainly reading.

And the Nārada Verification Method is the corpus supplying its own corrective, once, in the document about generating novel combinations — the place it was most needed and least expected.

Cross-Domain Handshakes

Polymathic Operating System Hub.The hub's material on structured generation and mental-model application is the direct counterpart, and the pairing identifies both what the corpus got right and what it skipped. ⚠ The morphological box is a real technique with a real literature, and its central discipline is screening: a box generates far more cells than it generates ideas, and the analyst's job is discarding. ⚑⚑ The corpus performs the generation step faithfully and presents the unscreened space as the product — which is the commonest failure in applied morphological analysis, and the reason the technique has a reputation for producing volume rather than insight. The four worked addresses are the screening, done well and not labelled as such.

Being Told What You Are.That page holds the record-versus-status distinction from the volume's own material, and the pairing explains why the Vālmīki Integration Protocol is load-bearing rather than decorative. ⚠ A quality invoked as a statusI am one who has conquered anger — is the register that inflates. ⚑⚑ A quality invoked through an episodeRāma was patient with Bharata's anger, and here is what that looked like — is a record, and records license inferences that can come out modest. So attaching each of the sixteen to an episode is not scholarly ornament; it is the mechanism that keeps the practice in the safe register, and the corpus has done four of sixteen without knowing that is what the protocol is for.

The Live Edge

The box's sixteenth quality is the one that does not fit, and the document places it without comment.

Kasya bibhyati devāḥ — "of whom do the gods fear" — is not a virtue in the sense the other fifteen are.It is a phrase from the verse describing what Rāma's anger provokes, and the other fifteen are dispositions a person could cultivate.

⚑⚑ Which means one cell in nine of the box crosses a life context with being feared by gods.Kasya bibhyati devāḥ × Relationship Dynamics × Protection Mode is a combination the system generates and no practitioner should run — and the Nārada test would catch it, if anyone applied the test to the quality rather than to the response pattern.

The document's own hedge shows the author noticing something is odd about the list — he explains that these are character qualities rather than kalās. ⚠ He does not notice that the sixteenth is a different kind of item from the other fifteen, and the box multiplies it twenty-seven times regardless. Which is what an unscreened generative space does: it treats every dimension as uniform, and the source was never uniform.

The Eight Powers Across Seven Domains
Having converted the eight classical attainments into qualities of character, the corpus does the work that makes the conversion usable: each of the eight is applied across seven areas of life — family, romantic relationship, friendship, spiritual practice, health, crisis — and each is given a daily practice with a stated duration.
