Before a practitioner may attempt to transmit anything to anyone, the Hanumanic Strategy corpus imposes a gate. Four criteria for self-assessment, three conditions that must coincide, and an explicit warning that the whole thing can be counterfeited from the inside.1
⚑⚑ This is the corpus placing a prerequisite on its own most ambitious claim, unprompted. ⚠ The build's standing finding is that this corpus looks for permission rather than limits.5 This document, and the safety framework eight files away, are where that stops being true.2
Genuine transmission is said to require three things simultaneously, and the simultaneously is the operative word.
Complete understanding that transcends conceptual knowledge and becomes direct recognition. Unconditional love that "encompasses all beings without exception or preference." Spontaneous compassionate activity that serves others' awakening "without any sense of personal effort or achievement."1
⚑ A conjunctive test is much harder to satisfy than a disjunctive one and the document knows it. ⚠ Any two without the third fails. ⚑⚑ Which rules out the three most common self-deceptions in one stroke: insight without love, love without capacity, and activity without either.
⚑⚑ The document then says the thing that most practice writing will not.
"Spiritual experiences, altered states of consciousness, and even genuine insights can be mistaken for transmission if they do not include the complete transformation of understanding, love, and activity that characterises authentic awakening."1
⚠ Note what is conceded: even genuine insights. ⚑ The failure mode is not fraud and not delusion. It is a real experience correctly perceived and wrongly classified, which is the only version of this warning that could apply to a sincere practitioner — and sincerity is the corpus's usual escape hatch.8
⚑ The three elements are what convert the warning into something usable. Without them it is a caution; with them it is a checklist that can return no.
One — availability. Awakened awareness accessible "immediately and consistently regardless of external circumstances or internal mental states." ⚑ The document's gloss is the good part: available "as simply and directly as recognising that you are aware right now." Not a peak, not a session, not a good week.1
Two — emotional freedom, defined negatively first. "Not the suppression of emotions, but the understanding that all emotional states are temporary modifications of awareness itself." Intense anger, fear and sadness are expected to still arise and to be experienced as expressions rather than as problems.1 ⚑ This is the cluster's anti-suppression principle again, in its fourth vocabulary.7
Three — activity without motive. Spontaneous compassionate action arising from understanding "rather than from psychological motivations like the desire to help, to be needed, or to demonstrate spiritual advancement."1 ⚑⚑ Naming the desire to be needed is the sharpest thing in the document. ⚠ It is the specific motive that produces teachers, and it is invisible to the person who has it because it presents as generosity.
Four — ordinary functioning. Complete integration, such that "spiritual realisation enhances rather than conflicts with effective action in the world" — work, relationships, creative capacity.1
⚑ Three of the four are about consistency rather than intensity.
⚠ Availability regardless of mood. Emotions arising and not disturbing. Functioning maintained. ⚑⚑ None of them asks how deep anything went. The gate is not testing whether the practitioner has had a profound experience — it is testing whether anything survives an ordinary Tuesday.
⚑ That is the correct design for this particular gate, because the failure it must catch is precisely a strong experience generating a conviction of readiness. ⚠ A criterion that measured depth would be satisfied by the very thing it needs to screen out.
⚑⚑ And indicator four does the most work of the four, quietly. It makes worldly competence a spiritual criterion, which converts the most common warning sign — a life becoming less functional as practice intensifies — from an embarrassment into a disqualification. ⚑ The safety framework's reality-testing criterion is the same instrument aimed at the practitioner rather than at the teacher.2
Past the gate, the document names four capacities that develop in order.
One — dual attention. Holding stable awareness while being fully present to another person's state. ⚑ The two failure modes are named precisely: becoming absorbed in the other person and losing one's own clarity, or holding one's own state and becoming "unavailable to genuinely meet the other person where they are."1 ⚠ That second failure is the one nobody warns about, and it is what serene unhelpfulness actually is.
Two — recognition. Perceiving awakened nature in someone whose confusion or reactivity obscures it — "buddha vision."
Three — address. Speaking to that in a person "even when the person is not consciously aware of it themselves."
Four — spontaneous appropriate action, which the document explicitly says "cannot be planned or systematised."1
⚑⚑ The fourth is the corpus contradicting its own governing method and being right to. ⚠ This is a corpus of numbered protocols, twelve-week curricula and five-phase sequences, and at the top of its most ambitious skill ladder it says the last step cannot be proceduralised.9
The closing section reframes the whole capacity as not belonging to the practitioner: transmission is "a temporary stewardship of awakened consciousness that belongs to all beings," not a personal accomplishment or possession.1
Three obligations follow: continue deepening one's own realisation; avoid the spiritual ego "that can corrupt transmission"; and ensure teaching emerges from understanding "rather than from psychological needs or intellectual concepts."1
⚑ The terminal state is named "self-liberating activity" — service so transparent that "transmission happens naturally through all their activities without any conscious effort or intention to teach."
⚑⚑ The structure here is the same one the preparation sequence builds physically. ⚠ The channel is opened downward before anything is received; the capacity is defined as not-yours before it is claimed.3 Twice in one document, the safeguard is built into the architecture rather than urged afterwards.
⚠ All four indicators govern offering transmission. Not one governs receiving it.
⚑⚑ And the practice the same document teaches is deliberate, staged ego-permeability — a container opened, a channel run upward toward a presence the practitioner senses and nobody verifies.3 The rigour is entirely on the outbound side.
⚑ This is not a gap in the author's thinking so much as a gap in his position. ⚠ He is writing as someone who might become a teacher, and the risk he can imagine is the one he might pose to others. The risk of opening himself to somebody claiming these four indicators does not appear anywhere.
⚑⚑ The gate for receiving exists in this corpus. It is in a different file. The four-part safety framework — clinical consultation as a precondition, and the criterion that any practice increasing confusion, isolation or disconnection is to be modified or discontinued — is precisely what governs entering a transmission relationship.2 ⚠ Two documents, one cluster, one author, and the halves never meet.
Keep the conjunctive form. ⚑ Three elements simultaneously, four indicators together — the moment any of them becomes sufficient on its own the gate stops working.
Test the indicators against an ordinary week, not against a good session. ⚑⚑ All four are consistency criteria and reading them as depth criteria inverts them.
Apply indicator three to the impulse to write, not only to the impulse to teach. ⚠ The desire to be needed and the desire to demonstrate spiritual advancement are motives for publishing as much as for instructing, and the corpus's production method converts every practice into material.9
And build the receiving gate, which requires no invention. ⚑ Move the safety framework's four conditions to the front of this document.2 ⚠ A doctrine with four criteria for giving and none for taking is not cautious; it is cautious in one direction.
Source. Iteration 5: Direct Transmission Mastery, read in full 2026-08-18 with the seven other documents of the psychology cluster.1 personal-notes. [EXTENSION] — an authored iteration, recorded in full.
🚩 [TRADITION-CLAIM — unverified]. ⚠ *The three elements and the four indicators are attributed to "traditional sources" and "the classical texts", and no text, teacher or school is named anywhere in the document.* ⚑ The content is consistent with several traditions; the citation is to none of them.
Bounded. ⚑ The claim that no criterion for receiving appears is a claim about this document, read in full, and about the seven others of the psychology cluster. ⚠ Fifty-two folder documents are unread; nothing is claimed about them.
⚑ The vault's own literature on graded transmission is not cited by the document and is not being used here to correct it — it is recorded on the practice page as the apparatus this account lacks.3
Open question. ⚑ Would the author pass his own gate, and does he think he does? The document addresses the reader in the second person as someone approaching this assessment, and never states a result. ⚠ A self-administered test with no recorded outcome is indistinguishable from one that was never taken, and the corpus's own habit of publishing what it works through makes the silence conspicuous.
⚑ The strictest gate in the corpus stands in front of the least verifiable claim in it.
⚠ Everywhere the corpus makes a checkable claim — a citation, a figure, a study — the standards are loose.6 ⚑ Here, where nothing whatever could be externally checked, the author builds a conjunctive test, warns that genuine insight can be mistaken for the real thing, names the disqualifying motives, and requires ordinary competence as evidence.
⚑⚑ The build has recorded a version of this before and called it rigour tracking uncertainty rather than stakes.6 ⚠ This instance sharpens it, because uncertainty is not what is operating here — the author is not uncertain about transmission. ⚑⚑ What is operating is proximity to consequence: this is the one place in the corpus where the author is imagining a specific other person being affected by him.
⚑ Which is a more useful formulation than the earlier one and a testable one. ⚠ It predicts that the memetic material, whose subject is affecting many people none of whom is imagined individually, will have the loosest safeguards in the corpus. It does.10
Grandiosity. ⚑ The mechanism these indicators are built against, and the pairing shows both what the gate catches and what it cannot. That page holds grandiosity's structure: an inflated self-estimate that is defended rather than examined, and that recruits evidence rather than testing itself. ⚑⚑ What the pairing produces: three of the four indicators are unusually well designed against it — consistency rather than intensity, ordinary functioning as evidence, and the naming of the desire to be needed as a disqualifying motive. ⚠ But the gate is self-administered, and grandiosity's defining property is that it survives self-examination. A practitioner who has decided they meet these four will find the criteria confirm it, because each one is scored by the person being scored. ⚑ The tradition's answer is not a better criterion but a different assessor — which is exactly the element this document removed when it made the preparation self-administered.
The Grandiose Leader. ⚑ The tactical counterpart, and it is what these four indicators look like from outside. That page holds the operator's pattern: authority claimed on grounds the audience cannot check, with the claim's unfalsifiability doing the persuasive work. ⚑⚑ The insight neither generates alone: this list is simultaneously a genuine gate and a ready-made credential. ⚠ Read as self-assessment it is demanding; read as a public claim — my awareness is continuously available, my compassion has no personal motive, my realisation enhances my worldly functioning — it is an assertion of exactly the kind that cannot be contested by anyone. ⚑ The document intends the first and supplies the second, and the difference between them is entirely whether the four are ever said aloud. Which is a real argument for keeping this list private, and the corpus's publishing method points the other way.
⚑ The document's terminal state is transmission happening "without any conscious effort or intention to teach" — and the corpus is a teaching apparatus with a schedule.
⚠ A newsletter, a twelve-week curriculum, a two-year content calendar, a book outline.9 ⚑⚑ Every one of them is an intention to teach, planned in advance, on a date. By the document's own terminal criterion, the entire project is a stage below what it describes as the endpoint.
🧭 That is not a contradiction to be resolved and it is the most interesting question in the cluster: can something be taught deliberately that is defined by not being taught deliberately? ⚑ The tradition has a standing answer — the deliberate apparatus is scaffolding, and it is meant to be discarded. ⚠ But the corpus's production method makes the scaffolding permanent, because each week's writing documents that week's practice and there is always a next week.9
⚑⚑ And the volume's own material cuts the other way from where the document assumes. 🧭 Hanuman's transmission-by-proximity — "it was never Sūrya's gift at all, it was proximity" — describes learning that happened while nobody was teaching.4 ⚠ The condition was not a technique or a readiness assessment. It was being near someone, for a long time, for other reasons. Neither corpus has asked what a book could possibly do about that, and it is the question the book is standing on.
