The Trinity Council Method

Three Positions, One Question in the Middle

The practitioner sits at the centre of an equilateral triangle.1 Rāma at the apex, golden, radiating analytical intelligence. Hanumān to the right, orange-red, "pulsing with loving service." Sītā to the left, golden-brown, earth energy providing stability. Lines of light connect all four positions.

⭐⭐ And the decision goes in the middle, as an object: "place a complex decision in the triangle's centre as an energetic form… visualize the decision as a crystalline structure that can be examined from multiple angles."

Each vertex is then consulted for ten to fifteen minutes with a question fixed in advance:

Rāma"what are the dharmic implications and long-term consequences of different responses?" Receiving guidance about timing, resources, obstacles and optimal approaches. Hanumān"which choice serves highest good with greatest love?" Receiving guidance about motivation and service. Sītā"what response maintains essential dignity while being practically effective?" Receiving guidance about implementation and sustainability.

Fifteen minutes of setup, twenty to forty-five of consultation, and the questions do not change with the decision.

Why the Geometry Is Not Decoration

⚑⚑ The structural move is that the practitioner is inside the figure and the decision is outside himself.

Ordinary perspective-taking asks a person to consider several viewpoints, which leaves them as the seat of all of themand a mind holding three views tends to produce one view with three justifications.Putting the question in the middle of a room and walking around it separates the positions physically, and the separation is what stops them collapsing.

The crystalline framing does the same work again: a crystal has faces, and which face you see depends on where you stand.A decision "examined from multiple angles" is a metaphor; a decision visualised as an object with faces is an instruction about what to do next.

Hand Placement as the Retrieval Mechanism

The method's most portable element is not the triangle. It is what happens when the practitioner is not sitting in one.1

During the day, the same three intelligences are retrieved by placing a handhead for Rāma, heart for Hanumān, belly for Sītāwhile asking a direct-pointing question.

⚑⚑ This connects the council to the four-week placement rotation that precedes it2: the sites were established there, and the council is one of the things they are for.Which makes the method dependent on prior work in a way the document does not statea reader picking up the council without the rotation has three hand positions and no reason why they should retrieve anything.

And the correspondence is coherent: analysis at the head, devotion at the heart, grounding at the belly.Nothing about it is arbitrary, and the mapping would be guessable by a practitioner who had never read the document — which is a point in its favour rather than against it.

The Same Council Under Crisis

The method is re-entered under pressure with the durations changed and the sequence fixed.1

Phase one, 0–15 minutes: immediate stabilisation — both hands on the heart, the direct-pointing question, and an archetypal refuge chosen from whichever connection is strongest. Phase two, 15–45 minutes: the full council, ten to fifteen minutes per vertex, with the questions as above. Phase three, 1–7 days: formal practice raised from sixty to ninety or a hundred and twenty minutes daily, "using the crisis emotional intensity as fuel for deeper concentration."

Note what phase one does: it fixes the first move in advance so that no decision has to be made at the worst moment. That is the correct design for a crisis protocol and the corpus does it deliberatelythe same instinct appears in its ritual for the day a thing goes wrong.3

Phase three is the one to hold at arm's length.Doubling practice during a crisis is plausible for some difficulties and contraindicated for others, and the document does not distinguish themthough the same cluster elsewhere names a referral boundary to medicine, psychology and law that would.4

What the Three Vertices Actually Cover

Read as a decision procedure rather than as a devotional exercise, the three questions cover three genuinely distinct failure modes.

Rāma's question catches decisions that are locally right and structurally wrong — the option that solves this quarter and creates the next problem. ⭐ Hanumān's question catches decisions made from the wrong motive — and it is phrased to make that hard to evade: which choice serves highest good with greatest love cannot be answered by a plan. ⭐ Sītā's question catches decisions that are correct and unimplementable — and its phrasing, maintains essential dignity while being practically effective, names the two things most often traded against each other under pressure.

⚑⚑ Three checks, no overlap, and each corresponds to a way that a good decision procedure fails.Which is more than most decision frameworks manage, and none of it requires the visualisation to work.

The Council Applied to Three Domains

The document extends the council into business, relationships and creative work, and gives each vertex a domain-specific job.1

In business intelligence: Rāma as strategic pattern recognition — market analysis, long-term implications across stakeholders, "strategic timing guidance by recognizing cyclical patterns." Hanumān as implementation intelligence"the devoted execution specialist who maintains service orientation while achieving ambitious results," bridging strategy to practice. Sītā as grounding integration — sustainable business-model development, resource allocation, "authentic market positioning that preserves essential brand integrity."

In relationships: Rāma identifies structural patterns in recurring conflicts "to address root causes rather than surface symptoms" and judges timing for difficult conversations. Hanumān holds service orientation during them — "seeking mutual benefit rather than winning." Sītā ensures the insight becomes a specific behavioural change, and maintains dignity under interpersonal stress.

In creative work, the vertices become a block-diagnosis. Rāma distinguishes between "technical skill gaps, perfectionism, unclear project vision, or resistance to creative risk." Hanumān asks whether the block is a lack of devotional connection to the work — "would approaching the project as service rather than self-expression dissolve the resistance?" Sītā asks whether the constraint is simply material: time, tools, space, scope.

⚑⚑ The creative application is the strongest of the three because the three questions genuinely partition the causes.A creative block is a skill problem, a motivation problem or a resource problem, and treating one as another is the standard failurea person with a scope problem does not need to want it more.

Where the Method Is Thin

Two absences, and the second is structural.

No conflict rule.Three vertices consulted independently will disagree, and the document says nothing about what happens then. ⚠ *Its companion material describes the three as amplifying one another — "Rāma's analysis becomes more precise when informed by Hanumān's implementation experience"1 — which describes agreement and not resolution.* ⭐ And the disagreement is the whole reason to consult three.

No record. The method produces guidance and nothing else.A practitioner running it monthly for a year would have no way to tell whether the council's advice was better than his ownand the corpus contains the instrument that would settle it, in a different document, unconnected.5

⚑⚑ Both gaps have the same repair: write down which vertex you followed and what happened.A dozen entries would produce a selection rule the document does not have, and would answer whether the method works at all.

Implementation Workflow

Put the decision outside yourself, as an object. This is the method's core and it works without any of the rest.

Keep the questions fixed.Adapting the question to the decision is how three perspectives become one perspective with three phrasings.

Establish the placements before relying on them. The hand positions retrieve what the rotation installed; used cold they are gestures.

Fix the first move for crises in advance.Phase one exists so that nothing has to be decided at the worst moment. That is transferable to any crisis protocol.

And log which vertex won.It is the missing conflict rule and the missing evidence, and it costs one line per decision.

Evidence, Tensions, Open Questions

The Hanumanic Cultivation Operating System: Crisis-to-Mastery Integration Technology, read in full 2026-08-18 with the thirty-one other documents of the remaining folder clusters.1 personal-notes. [EXTENSION]the council geometry, the three fixed questions and the crisis phasing are the author's.

The Ram Darbār is a traditional configuration — Rāma enthroned with Sītā and Hanumān — and the document borrows the arrangement. This page makes no claim about how the darbār is treated in any traditional source; the assignment of analytical, devotional and grounding functions to the three figures is the corpus's, not the tradition's, and no source is offered for it.

Bounded. The method as described occupies week four of a four-week rotation and its midday and crisis applications. Nothing is claimed about its use outside that document.

Open question. What happens when the vertices disagree? The document supplies no rule and its companion passages describe only mutual reinforcement.

Second open question.Does the council outperform ordinary deliberation?Untested, and testable with a decision log the method does not ask for.

Author Tensions & Convergences

The author builds a procedure for disagreement and then describes the parties as agreeing.

The council's entire value is that three positions might diverge — otherwise one would do. ⚑⚑ But every passage describing how the vertices interact is a passage about amplification: each perspective "enhances and informs the others", the three produce "exponential rather than additive intelligence", complex challenges receive analysis where "each perspective reveals solution aspects invisible to the others."1

None of that is wrong and none of it addresses the case the method exists for.A practitioner whose three vertices always converge is either exceptionally well-integrated or is answering all three questions from one positionand the document offers no way to tell which.

⚑⚑ This is the corpus's characteristic shape in a new place: it builds the apparatus for a hard case and then illustrates it with easy ones. The same instinct produces twelve progression calendars describing steady advance and no account of a plateau.6

Cross-Domain Handshakes

The Nyāsa Archetypal Rotation. The three weeks that make the fourth possible, and the pairing states the dependency the document leaves implicit. That page holds the four-week rotation in which Rāma, Hanumān and Sītā are each established through systematic body-placement before the council convenes. ⚑⚑ The insight the pairing produces: the council is not a visualisation exercise but a retrieval exercise, and it can only retrieve what the preceding three weeks installed.Which explains the hand placements, and explains why the method would fail for a reader who began at week fournot because the geometry is wrong, but because there would be nothing at the vertices. And it supplies the test the council lacks: if the placements are live, the three vertices should answer differently, because they were built differently. Convergence at every consultation is evidence that the rotation did not take, and it is diagnosable in a single session.

The Live Edge

The method assumes three figures can be consulted as three intelligences.

But what the tradition supplies is not three intelligences. It is three parties to a historywith obligations, asymmetries and a story that ran between them. ⚑⚑ Sītā in the grove and Hanumān arriving with the ring is not a panel; it is a rescue, and the relation between those two figures at that moment is the reason either matters to the practitioner.

🧭 The open boundary: does a relationship survive being internalised as a set of viewpoints? The corpus assumes yes and the assumption is doing all the work.A viewpoint can be adopted at will; a relationship cannot, and the volume's strongest material about these three is about what passes between them rather than what each of them thinks.

🧭 The sharper form, and it is the chapter: the council may be excellent as a decision procedure and hollow as an encounter, and those are the two things it claims to be.Stripped of theology it is a genuinely good instrument — externalise the question, fix three questions, consult from three positions.Kept as devotion it asks the practitioner to convene three beings and then interrogate them, which is a different act from approaching them.Nobody in either corpus has asked which it is for, and the answer decides whether the fourth week is the rotation's summit or a well-designed exercise wearing its costume.
