Every other school works on a person — you, or somebody in front of you, or something you own. This one works on regions. It protects entire areas from severe weather that threatens people, crops and animals, and it keeps populations safe from famine, illness, earthquakes and the rest of the natural disasters people get hit with.1
The scope is stated plainly and it's the largest in the curriculum. This school teaches how to control the environment, the weather, the heavens, the land, the sea and the clouds. It shows how weather works, what its cycles are, and how to change it. It can alter topographical areas to make them safer for people to live in and plant on, and it can help reduce the damage done by deforestation.2 So the beneficiary is never the wizard. It's whoever lives downstream of the weather being worked on, and they don't know it's happening.
There's a price attached, stated immediately after the power. All this comes with great responsibility, and the wizard will be required to put in a great deal of physical effort, the best mental focus, and an unwavering mind.3 Physical effort is the interesting item. Nine of the ten schools ask for attention, discipline or character. This one asks for exertion — and it's the only school besides Healings where the operator's body is named as part of the cost. Healings needs you in top condition because you're the power supply. Naturals needs physical effort because of the scale of what's being moved.
The focal-point preparation matches. Beyond the drill, this one lists meditation, fasting and prayer, along with contemplative thought and constructive visualisation.4 Fasting appears nowhere else in the ten schools, and nothing explains what it contributes.
The four split by where the trouble comes from, which makes this the most practically organised school of the ten.5 Meteoricos, meteoric, handles the forces that govern the skies — storms, thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, torrential rain, droughts, flash floods. Teluricos, telluric, handles the ground: preventing severe earthquakes or easing them when they're absolutely necessary, improving the quality of land people intend to farm, and protecting people and crops from vermin, searing heat, freezing, excessive rain and lack of humidity.
Naturo, arboreal, deals with plants, forests and the environments that are primary to an ecosystem, and it also carries the incantations for animals, livestock and wildlife. Nautes, nautical, prevents disasters arriving from the sea, rivers and waterways — tsunamis, waterspouts and severe tidal waves. Between them they cover everything alive and everything wet.
Sky, ground, living things, water. That's not a difficulty ladder like the other nine schools use. It's a division of labour by domain, organised the way an emergency service would be.
One phrase in the telluric definition changes the whole school, and it goes by fast. Earthquakes get prevented, or eased when these are absolutely necessary.6 That's an admission that some natural disasters are supposed to happen. Not all of them are enemies to be stopped; some are required, and the practitioner's job in those cases is to reduce the severity rather than to cancel the event.
Nothing tells you which is which. No test, no marker, nothing to separate an earthquake that must happen from one that can simply be stopped. Yet the clause changes the school, because it is the only place here where the wizard is asked to let something damaging proceed. Every other operation here is unqualified opposition to a natural force. This one says that sometimes the force is right and you are not.
The focal point is the solar plexus — the area between the chest and the stomach, shared with the Alterations school. The reason given here is different: this zone generates energies that operate over creation and the flow of order, and give control over growth, expansion and development of physical forms.7 Learn to control that furnace and you can handle the forces of nature with more ease and more focus.
The planet is Venus, described as the one in charge of controlling nature — wildlife, plants, the earth itself, harvests, and the powerful forces of wind, rain and heat. The stated goal of learning it is not command but balance: eventually you learn how to keep the delicate balance of nature in check.8 The station is Netzach, shared with Enchantments. Netzach works with the land, the skies and everything of a natural order, and in the Tree it protects and confers a sense of nurture toward every aspect of the living world — the skies, the mountains, the seas, and the organisms that live here.9 Where Enchantments drew conquest and artistry from Netzach, this school draws nurture from it.
The drill in this school does something none of the other nine do, and it's in the final step.10 Every other praxis ends with energy moving — out of a hand, down an arm, through the body, into a target. This one ends with making a specific picture and pushing it into the world, and the four pictures are given exactly:
Water is a luminous wave of light rushing forth with divine might. Earth is a huge mound of luminous earth rolling forth with telluric intensity. Air is a luminous cloud or gust of wind. Fire is a luminous flame blazing between the hands.
Those are the tradition's own images and they're unusually concrete — a rolling mound, a flame held between two hands. Each one is the element in motion, and each one is luminous. Not water, but water made of light. The drill isn't asking you to imagine the element; it's asking you to imagine the element as a construct of the same divine light every other school channels.
That quietly settles something the school never raises. If a wizard alters weather, are they moving actual air, or making something that acts on it? The drill answers: the second. What leaves the solar plexus is a luminous representation, and the representation is what does the work.
Three steps, about fifteen minutes.11 Sit somewhere quiet, breathe undisturbed for at least five minutes, then place both hands on your solar plexus — direct contact, which only this school and Alterations use. Focus there, holding in mind that this is a creative zone. With each inhalation, feel the solar plexus receive the surrounding light and infuse the body with the powers of nature. With every exhalation, feel the solar plexus gather energy from the four elements and distribute it into its different types — while still keeping it all collected in the plexus.
That instruction is stranger than it looks and it's the technical heart of the exercise. You separate the four elemental energies into their kinds and hold them together in one place at the same time — sorted and pooled at once. After about ten minutes, put your hands forward, choose the element you're working with, and see its representation flow from the solar plexus, between the hands, and out into the world — as the wave, the mound, the gust, or the flame.

Unresolved: earthquakes are eased "when these are absolutely necessary," and no test is given for necessity. The practitioner is asked to make a judgement the material never equips them to make.
Follow the protection framing and nature is a hazard. Storms, floods, quakes, vermin, drought, tsunamis — the category definitions are almost entirely a list of things to be prevented, eased or defended against, and the wizard stands between those forces and a population.
Follow Netzach and nature is something you belong to and care for. The station confers nurture toward the living world, Venus teaches you to keep a delicate balance, and the arboreal category exists for forests and ecosystems in their own right rather than for human safety.
Those two point at different practices. One has you intervening whenever a natural force threatens people. The other has you maintaining a balance that includes forces which threaten people — and the "absolutely necessary" clause is the single place where the second view surfaces inside a school otherwise written from the first.
Amazon and Igboland as Terraformed Food Forests — Both traditions hold that human beings shape landscapes deliberately and at scale, and both treat that as ordinary rather than exceptional. This school claims a wizard can alter topographical areas to make them safer for habitation and planting, improve the quality of land people intend to farm, and reduce the damage done by deforestation.
The African material describes the same outcome reached by other means: forests that look wild and are not, built up over generations into food-producing systems, with the terraforming legible in the soil afterwards.
What the pairing shows is a difference in verification, and it cuts both ways. Terraformed food forests leave evidence — you can dig, sample, and date what was done, which is how the claim got established at all. Magical topographical alteration leaves none, and there is no stated marker for a successful working, no before-and-after, no way for a second practitioner to check. A land practice that works slowly through hands is auditable centuries later; one that works quickly through will is not auditable at all — and this school's own physical-effort requirement is the closest it comes to the first kind, which is probably why that requirement is there.
Sharpest implication. What leaves the body in this school is not an element but a picture of one — a luminous wave, a rolling mound of light, a gust, a flame between the hands. The drill therefore answers a question the school never asks: a wizard working on weather is not moving air, they are sending a representation made of light to act on it.
